Mary Spaich Oral History Interview This oral history interview with Mary Spaich was part of oral histories conducted in the fall 2001 semester of History 447: Oral History.

In this interview, Mary Spaich discusses growing up in the Lincoln Place neighborhood of Granite City. She was born in Granite City in 1916 to Serbian parents who had immigrated from Yugoslavia in 1914. She describes her life in Lincoln Place and changes in the area since her childhood.

Animal Control Pet Tag This is a gold colored Animal Control pet tag with faded lettering reading "2006 Rabies Vacc 36990 IL Dept of Agri Madison County." It was used to identify pets and let people know if they have had their rabies vaccination.

Little Tigers Football Jersey This item is an Edwardsville Little Tigers jersey used from 2006 to 2012. The jersey is an orange home jersey worn by Ryan Smith while he was a member of the Little Tigers Football League in Edwardsville, Illinois.

Crescent Roll Recipe This is a Christmas party recipe for moon shaped dinner rolls. It is from 2003 and was often used for special occasions such as birthdays by the Leaser family.

"One Step Closer" The 2002 Civic Memorial High School Yearbook This is a 2002 Civic Memorial High School Yearbook has a hard cover and is purple and gold with eagle prints on the front cover. It contains 208 pages and was created in 2002. The spine reads 'Civic Memorial High Schools Spectator Vol. 51' in gold shiny letters. This document was sold for $34 and the pictures were done by Delmar Studios of Edwardsville, Illinois. This book belonged to Cherise McArthur.

May 21, 2000 issue of The Telegraph, with "Verdict Rocks Shell" Headline This May 21, 2000 issue of The Telegraph includes the headline article of Edwardsville-Shell Oil Co. which wasn't the process of a lawsuit with one of their employees, a former roofing worker who developed mesotheleoma, an asbestos related cancer while working at the Wood River refinery. The worker sued Shell for $34.1 million according to the article.

Derek DeWitt Military Dog Tags from 2008 These are stainless steel military dog tags that belonged to U.S Marine Derek DeWitt who served from 2008-2009. Their purpose is to identify service members.

1930s Historic Leclaire Home This is a photo of a historic Leclaire home in Edwardsville built in the 1930s. It is two stories, has three bathrooms, and three bedrooms and constructed out of brick.

Diamond Cross Necklace This necklace was a gift for Easter from Julianne Hendricks Great Grandfather and Great Grandmother to her mother in 2005. The necklace is made of white gold. The necklace is very worn, so much so that the top of the cross is about to fall apart.
