	Rudolph (Rudy) Wilson Oral History	This oral history interview with Ellen Nore-Nordhouser is part of a collection of oral histories conducted as part of a research project related to the 50th Anniversary of SIUE between 2005 and 2008. In this interview, Vice-Chancellor Rudolph (Rudy) Wilson discusses the changes in the Metro-East Area. Wilson addresses his work as a member of the Education Department faculty and dealing with racial tensions throughout the Metro-East community as well as inside the educational system after being recruited to teach at SIU Edwardsville, Illinois from the school system in California. His attempts to locate housing, his work in charity and volunteerism, and his bid for political office on the local School Board are also discussed in the interview.	March 7, 2006	December 5, 2020
	2006 "What Do I Recall - Memories of SIUE" by Rudolph G. Wilson	This is a document created by Rudolph (Rudy) Wilson, the Vice-Chancellor of SIUE in 2006. The document describes Wilson's hiring, his difficulties finding housing in the St. Louis metropolitan area as an African-American man and his work at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The account is three pages long and additionally lists a series of awards or recognitions Dr. WIlson had earned throughout his tenure at SIUE and as a member of the community. 	2005 List of "African American and African Faculty Hires Since 1968 Not Including Faculty from Experiment in Higher Education" at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville	This printed color spreadsheet was created by Rudolph (Rudy) Wilson and given to Ellen Nore-Nordhouser during her oral history interview with him for the 50th anniversary of SIUE in 2006. The document is dated 2005-10-20 in the footer and lists the names, rank, tenure status, retirement dates and dates of hire of all the African American and African faculty members who had worked at the university since 1968. 	Earline Patterson Oral History	This oral history interview with Ellen Nore-Nordhouser is part of a collection of oral histories conducted as part of a research project related to the 50th Anniversary of SIUE between 2005 and 2008. Dr. Earline Patterson was the Director of Special Services at SIUE when this interview took place in July of 2006. In her interview, Patterson discusses her academic and employment background at several universities such as the University of Houston Clear Lake and Louis Clark Community College before coming to SIUE to work in Academic Advising. The interview focuses on the role diversity, and inclusion programs and disability services have on the student body as a whole as well as the impact they have on individual student success, but she also is careful to mention the impact that individual staff members can have on students as well as the community as a whole. The planned construction of the Academic/Student Success Center is discussed, and Patterson voices her belief about the positive impact she thinks it will have on student learning outcomes. In her interview Beaman discusses her research agenda, securing grants for the Nursing program at SIUE. Cythinia Rheinhardt discusses her time at SIUE as a student as well as work in the university bookstore.
