2020 Liberty Middle School Class Visit (97 total)

These artifacts were brought by students to be scanned as part of a three-day lesson offered by Madison Historical on February 5, 6, and 13, 2020 at Liberty Middle School in Edwardsville. The lesson was given five class periods of students in an American history class taught by Rachel Harris.

	Declaration of Covenants and Restriction for Burns Farm from 1991	This is a paper copy in black and white of Burns Farm Subdivision bylaws. It was used to tell the people who lived in this neighborhood how to build their houses and other rules they had to follow. This document was photographed as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. It was brought to class by Eva Witt. 	1991 Edwardsville High School Yearbook	This is an Edwardsville High School yearbook from May 1991, owned by Todd Zude. This campus has since become the Lincoln Middle School campus. The total number of enrolled students in the 1991 school year was 1,519. 	Headgear	This wrestling headgear has two molded ear covers for protection. The moulded ear covers are covered with black fabric and three parts where it is white and has seven small holes on each white part. There are straps throughout to keep the headpiece firmly attached during wrestling matches. 	1995 Article about Bill Hyten, The First Superintendent of Triad High School	This is a 1995 newspaper article about the first superintendent of Triad School District, Bill Hyten. He also talks about his family and how happy he is to see his daughter for the holidays. 	East Alton Wood River High Senior Ring	This item is an East Alton-Wood River High School class ring from May 1997. It is gold and has a cross country runner on one side with the year, 1997 and on the other side are buildings with the name Shaun along with East Alton-Wood River High. There is a gem on the top of the ring and on the inside it has Shaun L. Manley engraved. 	1998 Jack's 66 Service Station Photograph	This photo was taken in 1998 at Jack's 66 Service Station in Edwardsville. This is a picture of Sadie Lippoldt's mom, Michelle, and her cousin, Chelsey. Her grandpa was the original owner of Jack's 66 Service Station, and they were celebrating a Route 66 event. 	1999 Collins Outlaw Family Cookbook	This cookbook was made for the 23rd Collins Family Reunion which took place in 1999. The book has and has been passed down from generation to generation. Katy was the one who said we should make a coookbook for our family. It has been passed down ever since.
