This is a photograph of the 1986-87 Venice High School Boy's Basketball team, which won the Illinois State Championship in Class A. The team narrowly defeated Okawville High School 56-54 in the state championship game held March 14, 1987 in Champaign, Illinois.

The members of the team were Daryl Buie, Jesse Hall, Vincent Harris, Daryl Jackson, Hosea King, Orlando Love, John Marchbanks, Dale Turner, Wilfred Wigfall, and Lionel Wiley. The team was coached by Clinton Harris.
