This is a 1959 publication Abe Gets His Chance. The book was written by Frances Cavanah and illustrated by Don Silbey. The book is a decomissioned library book from the Hilsboro Library, located in downtown Hilsboro, IL. The book is a biography focusing on the childhood of the U.S. president, Abraham Lincoln.

This book was photographed as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. The book was brought into class by Jacob McKey.
