Description

This is a Fourth of July advertisement for the Plegge Store in Bethalto, IL. The store was open from 1933-1951 and during its years of operation quickly adapted to new innovations in food products such as Jell-O, Kool-Aid, and Miracle Whip.

This advertisement was photographed as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. It was brought to class by Mia Plegge.
