A canoe oar that was used at Girl Scout Camp Chan Ya Ta for a group of middle school girls. The paddle portion snapped when a girl threw it on shore of the pond. This occurred at Camp Chan Ya Ta while it was under the jurisdiction of the independently chartered Girl Scouts of River Bluffs Council. This council was absorbed into a large council in 2009. The Chan Ya Ta camp property was sold to a private group in 2020. Caviness Paddles went out of business in 2020.
