The Edwardsville Community Unit School District #7 was consolidated and renumerated in 1950.

The Superintendent of Edwardsville Community Unit School District #7 in 1950 was E.L. Alexander. Members of its Board of Education were:

Today, the Edwardsville Community Unit School District #7 is comprised of the following schools: Hamel Elementary School, Glen Carbon Elementary School, Leclaire Elementary School, Midway Elementary School, N.O. Nelson Elementary School, Goshen Elementary School, Columbus Elementary School, Woodland Elementary School, Worden Elementary School, Cassens Elementary School, Liberty Middle School, Lincoln Middle School, Edwardsville High School, EHS South, Lewis & Clark N.O. Nelson Campus, and the District 7 Sports Complex.
