Pontoon Beach

Pontoon Beach was incorporated following an election held December 8, 1962. Its name refers to the lakefront of Long Lake, which supposedly once had a sandy beach.1 In 1970, it had a population of 2,448 people.2 As of the 2010 census, the village of Pontoon Beach has a population of 5,836.3
