2007 Collinsville Blockbusters Membership Card | This is a 2007 Blockbuster membership card for the Blockbuster in Collinsville, Illinois. The card is blue, white, and yellow and says Blockbuster in yellow letters. This was used to rent movies from local Blockbuster. Blockbuster were the more popular way of watching movies other than movie theaters before the popularization of streaming services. This membership card was digitized as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. It was brought to class by Ian Dean. |

Earl Lazerson Oral History Interview | This oral history interview with Ellen Nore-Nordhouser is part of a collection of oral histories conducted as part of a research project related to the 50th Anniversary of SIUE between 2005 and 2008. Earl Lazerson speaks to what he saw the hallmarks of his legacy as President of the University, focusing on university housing, the creation of Arts and Issues, pushing for stronger undergraduate rather than doctoral programs, and the dissolution of the Experiment in Higher Education during his tenure at SIUE as a faculty member, Dean of Sciences and Technology and President. |

David Werner Oral History | This oral history interview with Ellen Nore-Nordhouser is part of a collection of oral histories conducted as part of a research project related to the 50th Anniversary of SIUE between 2005 and 2008. David Werner addresses his work at SIUE in the School of Business. Working towards the accreditation of the Business School, the Experiment in Higher Education, and the growth of programs such as the Dental College and Parmacy program at SIUE. Werner attributes the growth of SIUE to the prioritization of its mission statement towards undergraduate education, the addition of university housing, and the expansion of professional degree-granting programs at the undergraduate level. |

Chris Federmann's 2008 Silver Star | The Silver Star is the 3rd highest military honor. Chris Federmann was awarded the Silver Star in July of 2008. He was awarded the Silver Star because of his actions in Operation Iraqi Freedom. At the same time there had only been 500 Silver Stars awarded in history. Chris Federmann's actions prevented Anti-Iraqi forces from overwhelming friendly positions. His award speech states, "Chris L. Federmann was awarded the Silver Star for conspicuois gallantry and intrepidity in action against the enemy while serving as detachment weapons sergeant." This object was digitized as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. It was brought to class by Dominic Federmann. |
