Rudolph (Rudy) Wilson Oral History This oral history interview with Ellen Nore-Nordhouser is part of a collection of oral histories conducted as part of a research project related to the 50th Anniversary of SIUE between 2005 and 2008.

In this interview, Vice-Chancellor Rudolph (Rudy) Wilson discusses the changes in the Metro-East Area. Wilson addresses his work as a member of the Education Department faculty and dealing with racial tensions throughout the Metro-East community as well as inside the educational system after being recruited to teach at SIU Edwardsville, Illinois from the school system in California. His attempts to locate housing, his work in charity and volunteerism, and his bid for political office on the local School Board are also discussed in the interview.
