These artifacts were brought by students to be scanned as part of a three-day lesson offered by Madison Historical on April 12, 15, and 22, 2019 at Civic Memorial High School. The lesson was given to students in a junior American history class taught by Suze Gibson.

1992 Edition of the Civic Memorial High School Yearbook, The Spectator This is the 1992 edition of The Spectator, the yearbook for Civic Memorial High School in Bethalto. The included page has four yearbook superlatives: Sara Newby and Marc Vaughn for most athletic, Jason Householder and Meghan Lynch for prettiest eyes, Mike Whipkey and April Rives for prettiest hair, and Heather Darter and Scott Herzog for prettiest smile. The yearbook belongs to Heather Wallace, formerly Heather Coffman.

Circa 1978 Old Spice Shaving Kit This shaving kit was manufactured by the Shulton Company circa 1978, with the Old Spice brand name. The company branded their products with colonial sailing ships, this kit in particular is marked with the ship Recovery. The brush was made with boar bristle. 1940s Budget Bank Toy Made by Marx Toys This budget bank was manufactured by Marx Toys and has an image of the United States Capitol Building. It was likely sold in the 1940s as a toy for children to save money.

1999 Original Print of the Wood River Refinery, Given to JoAnn Laird Upon Her Retirement This limited edition print of the Wood River Refinery was drawn by St. Louis artist John Pils in 1999. The Shell refinery gave the print to JoAnn Laird upon her retirement from the refinery in 2000. This print is 262 of the 2000 total prints created.
