These artifacts were brought by students to be scanned as part of a three-day lesson offered by Madison Historical on February 5, 6, and 13, 2020 at Liberty Middle School in Edwardsville. The lesson was given five class periods of students in an American history class taught by Rachel Harris.

On the cover is a picture of Lew Burdette, a Milwaukee pitcher, along with a caption that reads, "Lew Burdette; the pitcher who made Milwaukee famous."The magazine has some mild cosmetic defects and wrinkles on the cover and interior pages. 1941-1945 WWII Air Force Hat | This is a USAAF serviceman's hat from WWII in very good condition. The hat has white and blue stitching with a metal clip, and on the ohter is a line of white stitching crossing diagonally from the bottom up to the side. On the inside of the hat is the enlisted members last name as well as a list of ten digits. This hat belonged the great grandfather of Angelina Ball, he was a member of the "Mighty 8th." He was a doctor and flight surgeon. His rank was as a 1st lieutenant. He was stationed in Algeria and Tunisia. 1991 Edwardsville High School Yearbook | This is an Edwardsville High School yearbook from May 1991, owned by Todd Zude. This campus has since become the Lincoln Middle School campus. The total number of enrolled students in the 1991 school year was 1,519. This thin booklet use to be white but faded into beige. On the center of the cover is a blue eagle (their mascot). Inside the yearbook shows Mrs. Irene Noblin's first grade class. Headgear | This wrestling headgear has two molded ear covers for protection. The moulded ear covers are covered with black fabric and three parts where it is white and has seven small holes on each white part. There are straps throughout to keep the headpiece firmly attached during wrestling matches. 100,000 Reichsbank Mark from German Depression | This German Reichsbank Mark is an example of the currency issued following the German Depression Following World War I, which resulted in massive amounts of hyperinflation. The inflation began in 1914 and ended in 1923. The currency was completely revamped at the end of 1923 with the creation of the currency of the Retenmark. The Retenmark was later replaced in 1924 by the Reichsmark. This bill was brought in by Erik Petersen as a part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in February 2020. |

1972 Madison County Plot Map of Lakewood, Jolda, and Oakdale Subdivisions in Glen Carbon | This item is a Madison County Plot Map from February 5, 1972. It displays Jolda, Lakewood, and Oakdale subdivsions in Madision County, Illinois. On the map are identifiable train tracks owned by the Chicago North Railroad and Northpole Western Railroad. These neighborhoods are in Glen Carbon, Illinois. Also present on the map are geographical markers such as lakes as well as traffic roads, and identifiable land plots throughout the area. East Alton Wood River High Senior Ring | This item is an East Alton-Wood River High School class ring from May 1997. It is gold and has a cross country runner on one side with the year, 1997 and on the other side are buildings with the name Shaun along with East Alton-Wood River High. There is a gem on the top of the ring and on the inside it has Shaun L. Manley engraved. Crescent Roll Recipe | This is a Christmas party recipe for moon shaped dinner rolls. It is from 2003 and was often used for special occasions such as birthdays by the Leaser family.
