	Donk Mine entrance	This is a black and white image of four men sitting at the entrance of the Donk Mine no. 2 shaft. The men are holding tools such as a pic ax and welding gear. All four of the men are wearing lighted helmets. Rough cut wooden support beams are prominent thorughout the mine shaft. 	Donk Brothers and Company Coal Advertisement	This is a color advertisment for the Donk Brothers Coal Company. The ad features a woman and child in front of a coal burning display and foldable billboard which reads "Office 522 Olive St. St. Louis" "Our 'Domestic" Cannot be Excelled in Purity Cleanliness and Free Buring Qualities" "Donk's 'Domestic" Bituminous Coal Lump Egg and Stove Sies" "Donk's Antracite Coal Best Grade All Sizes." Next to the stove is a bin full of coal labeled as "Anthracite" Coal from Donk. 	Discharge papers of Bethalto Resident and World War II Veteran Pvt. Edgar Wells	This is a copy of the honorary discharge papers of World War II Veteran and Bethalto resident Private Edgar Wells. Wells served in the United States army from 1941 to March 1944, when he was honorably discharged. He served in Battery "A", 882nd Field Artillery Battalion, 70th Infantry Division. He was a farmer in Bethalto. This photograph was digitized as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Civic Memorial High School in spring 2018. It was brought to class by Ethan Hannaford. 	Declaration of Covenants and Restriction for Burns Farm from 1991	This is a paper copy in black and white of Burns Farm Subdivision bylaws. It was used to tell the people who lived in this neighborhood how to build their houses and other rules they had to follow. This document was photographed as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. It was brought to class by Eva Witt. It was given to the Witt family when they bought their house in the neighborhood.	1991	March 4, 2020
