War Rations Book from World War II | This World War II war rations book was issued to Mary Whipple of Alton in 1943. It contains numerous stamps used to purchase goods rationed during the war. The stamps are decorated with artillery, aircraft carriers, tanks, and airplanes. Some of the stamps were already used. This ration book was scanned as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Civic Memorial High School in spring 2018. It was brought to class by Brayden Shirley. |
