The Florini Family Opening a Grocery Store in Bethalto in 1937 This photoraph shows Julio Florini, his wife Delfina Florini, and their son Geno Florini opening a grocery store in Bethalto on Spencer Street and near Route 140 in 1937. In 1942, the Florini's converted the location to a tavern named Geno's 140 Club. The restaurant is still open today.

This photograph was scanned as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Civic Memorial High School in spring 2019. It was brought to class by Wyatt Cooper.

The interior of the Stephenson House as a fraternity home for Sigma Phi Epsilon in the late 1990s This photograph shows the interior of the Stephenson House around when it was purchased by the City of Edwardsville in 1999 from the SIUE chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. The fraternity had owned the home since 1982. The doors and fireplace are painted the fraternity's purple colors, and the name of the fraternity is hanging above the fireplace. Ross when he was a soldier in the Mexican Campaign, World War I, and World War II. He lived in California at the time and was well known by many people.
