1945 Church of the Redeemer Congregational Church in Alton | This photograph was taken in November 1945 as part of the commemoration of the Church of the Redeemer’s 75th anniversary. The church was first built in 1870 and was expanded in 1902. The building still stands at the intersection of Sixth and Henry Streets (600 Henry Street) in Alton, Illinois. U.S. Navy Training Course Certificate, Awarded to Lester Mack Springman in 1945 | This certificate was awarded to Lester Mack Springman on September 7, 1945, certifying he had completed the Navy Training Course to receive the ranking of Motor Machinist's Mate First Class. Alhambra Grain & Feed Grain Elevator in 1945 | This photograph shows the Alhambra Grain & Feed facility in 1945, the year operations were expanded to soybean processing.
