War Ration Book from Moro, IL, for years 1943-4 | This is a war ration book that was used in Moro, IL. On the front is an image of a woman farming alongside text that reads, "Food Will Win The War." Additional text is located along the bottom of the pamphelt that says, "Compliments of Burrus Quality Hybrids. There are ration stamps inside and it is bound by a red string and on the back is a calendar with dates. This item was photographed as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. It was brought to class by Tyler Schafer. |

War Rations Book from World War II | This World War II war rations book was issued to Mary Whipple of Alton in 1943. It contains numerous stamps used to purchase goods rationed during the war. The stamps are decorated with artillery, aircraft carriers, tanks, and airplanes. Some of the stamps were already used.
