This currency was made between 1969 and 1980s. It was probably made in the capital of the Soviet union, Moscow. These coins were photographed as a part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in February 2020, contributed by Arik Screnchuk and his family. |

1969-1975 Italian Lira | These are Italian Liras ranging in date of mint from 1969 and 1975. They were owned by the Great-great-grandfather of Kira Reed of Edwardsville, Illinois, he was born and raised in Bari, Italy until he married and moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1870. There in Oregon, Reed's Great-great-grandfather had three sons and two daughters. When all five of their children grew to adulthood, they moved to Seattle, Washington. Three years after their children had moved out Kira Reed's great-great-grandparents moved back to Bari, Italy. While living in Seattle Kira's great-grandpa had three sons, Scott, Steven and Logan. Kira's great-great-grandfather passed away, he sent my great-grandpa these Italian dollar bills as a keepsake. The money was then passed onto Kira's Great-grandmother and subsequently her son, Steven, who passed it onto his daughter Joleene. Joleene then passed the money onto her daughter Kirra Reed. This artifact was digitized as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. It was brought to class by Kirra Reed. |

Political Business Card for Dick Mudge for the 1970 Democratic Primary State Senator Campaign | This a political business card for Dick Mudge for the 1970 Illinois Democratic primary state senate campaign. 1975 Table Cloth with Rose Patches | This table cloth was made by Kiymet Kulavuz in Turkey during the 1970's. She had originally embroidered the rose patches herself, and then sewn them onto a table cloth before she got married. She then retired it to her daughter, Derya Kulavuz-Onal (who currently posseses it as of 2020), as a wedding gift in 2005. This tablecloth was photographed as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. It was brought to class by Pera Onal. |

Rawlings Baseball From Vietnam Veteran David Williams | This baseball belongs to David Williams, a resident of Bethalto and baseball player. Williams is a veteran of the Vietnam War who played baseball while serving in Vietnam. He obtained this particular baseball after returning from Vietnam. This baseball was photographed as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Civic Memorial High School in spring 2018. It was brought to class by David Williams' son, Jacob Williams. |

Kenneth "Obie" Oberkfell at Ready Stance in St. Louis Cardinals Uniform | This is a black and white photograph of Kenneth Raymond Oberkfell at ready stance on baseball field while wearing St. Louis Cardinals Uniform. Oberkfell played for six different professional baseball teams from 1977 to 1992. He played both third and second base. Oberkfell worked in the Minor Leagues as a coach.
