Description

This 1926 photograph shows holes drilled into the foundation of the Madison County Tuberculosis Sanitarium in Edwardsville after mine subsidence. These improvements were a larger part of a necessary construction completed to the building after mine subsidence. The building later became the Madison County Nursing Home.
