This thin booklet use to be white but faded into beige. On the center of the cover is a blue eagle (their mascot). Inside the yearbook shows Mrs. Irene Noblin's first grade class.

Schafer-Tyler-O-001_a.JPG War Ration Book from Moro, IL, for years 1943-4 This is a war ration book that was used in Moro, IL. On the front is an image of a woman farming alongside text that reads, "Food Will Win The War." Additional text is located along the bottom of the pamphelt that says, "Compliments of Burrus Quality Hybrids. There are ration stamps inside and it is bound by a red string and on the back is a calendar with dates.

Ball-Angelina-O-001_a.JPG 1941-1945 WWII Air Force Hat This is a USAAF serviceman's hat from WWII in very good condition. The hat has white and blue stitching with a metal clip, and on the ohter is a line of white stitching crossing diagonally from the bottom up to the side. On the inside of the hat is the enlisted members last name as well as a list of ten digits. This hat belonged the great grandfather of Angelina Ball, he was a member of the "Mighty 8th." He was a doctor and flight surgeon. His rank was as a 1st lieutenant. He was stationed in Algeria and Tunisia.

Harris-Rachel-D-001.jpg March 29, 1903 Marriage Certificate of John Heinrich Balster and A. Rebekkah Deye, Bethalto, Ilinois This is the marriage certificate of John Heinrich Balster and A. Rebekka Deye, who were married in Bethalto, Illinois on March 29, 1903. On the certificate are religious scenes depicting some of the different sacraments, a scene of communion and the Lutheran tenet of practicing religion in the home.

This artifact was contributed by Rachel Harris in February of 2020 as part of a visit to her classroom at Liberty Middle School.

Manley-Jessica-O-001_a.jpg East Alton Wood River High Senior Ring This item is an East Alton-Wood River High School class ring from May 1997. It is gold and has a cross country runner on one side with the year, 1997 and on the other side are buildings with the name Shaun along with East Alton-Wood River High. There is a gem on the top of the ring and on the inside it has Shaun L. Manley engraved.

This ring was brought in by Jessica Manley as a part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in February 2020.

Kostich-Paul-O-001_a.jpg 1921 "Morgan Dollar" Coins These are silver dollar coins, called the "Morgan Dollar" after the United States Mint Engraver George T. Morgan. The "Morgan" entered circulation after its mint in 1878 and continued to be minted until 1904. In 1921, the "Morgan" was again entered into circulation to fill the void of previous Morgan Coins which had been meted down and shipped to Britain to aid their economy during World War I.

These coins were digitized as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. It was brought to class by Paul Kostich.

This cookbook is 490 pages worth of recipies from various families in Madison County, divided by the type of meal each recipe was meant to serve.

This cookbook was scanned as a part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in February 2020. This cookbook was contributed by Olivia Coll and her family.

Potter and Josie Anna Walker This Arkansas marriage certificate is a copy issued March 19, 1966. The original certificate was issued June 21, 1919 to certify the marriage of Claude D. Potter and Josie Anna Walker in Malden, Missouri, in the Missouri Bootheel.

Heiser-Alessia-O-001_a.JPG 1940s Edwardsville Creamery Milk Bottle This is an Edwardsville Creamery Milk Bottle from the 1940's. Glass milk bottles were used by delivery services to deliver milk to houses in crates daily. On the front it reads, "Property of Edwardsville Creamery Edwardsville, IL" and on the back it says, "One Quart Liquid". When people were finished with these bottles, they wouldn't always return them to Edwarsville Creamery.

This object was photographed as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Liberty Middle School in spring 2020. It was found and brought into class by Alessa Heiser. It was found in her backyard.
