	Jim Pennekamp Oral History Interview	In this oral history interview, Jim Pennekamp describes his role in various economic development organizations in the St. Louis metro area and Madison County, including the Jefferson County Economic Development Corporation, the St. Louis Regional Commerce and Growth Association, the Tri-Cities Area Chamber of Commerce (now called Southwest Madison County Chamber of Commerce), the Greater Alton Twin Rivers Growth Association (now called the Riverbend Growth Association), and University Park at SIUE. He also describes growing up in New Jersey and Brussels, Belgium, his participation in the anti-Vietnam War movement in the 1960s and 70s, and his early career as a deputy juvenile officer in Jefferson County. He also reflects on changes in Madison County and the broader region in the second half of the twentieth century, particularly related to globalization and the transition from an industrial to a service-based economy. 	Janet McReynolds Oral History	This oral history interview with Ellen Nore-Nordhouser is part of a collection of oral histories conducted as part of a research project related to the 50th Anniversary of SIUE between 2005 and 2008. McReynolds discusses the EHE, otherwise known as the Experiment in Higher Education which was the pilot program at the East St. Louis Campus and her later transfer to SIUE's Edwardsville campus in the Academic Resource Center. She candidly discusses racial tensions and the inequality between campuses. McReynolds, for example, mentions the fact that many of the courses within the EHE were coded by the university differently so when students left the EHE for the "main campus" they often received no credit for courses they had already taken because it was "experimental" and was considered prepatory. McReynolds also discusses the change in administration at the Edwardsville campus such as the difficulties Barbara Teters had in her position as Vice Provost under President Earl Lazerson.
