Williamson

Following the discovery of coal in February 1904,1 the village of Williamson was laid out by the Mt. Olive and Staunton Coal Company using land purchased from Henry Liche.5 The coal mining village of Williamson was incorporated March 14, 1907.2 In 1910 Williamson had a population of 648.3 As of the 2010 census, the village of Williamson has a population of 230.4
