Bethalto

The village of Bethalto was laid out and platted by Joel U. Starkey in 1854. Bethalto was incorporated on April 19, 1869.1 By 1880, Bethalto had a population of 1,256.3 As of the 2010 census, Bethalto village has 9,521 residents.2
