This is a tri-fold pamphlet for the Southwestern Illinois inter-City Baseball League 1955 season. One side of the pamphlet is a glossy silver with black ink text, while the other side is white with black text ink. The bill includes the schedule, advertisements for supporting local businesses , board members, graduates who played Major League Baseball, a list of game locations, and a list of how the standings and final cup selection works. In this oral history interview, Kathy Childers discusses her family's Macedonian heritage and her father John Bellcoff, who was the mayor of Madison, Illinois from 1985 to 1997 and the Madison County Democratic Chairman from 1990 to 1994. She discusses how her family continues to practice Macedonian cultural traditions, including food, clothing, and dancing. She also describes her father's political career, including his role in establishing the Gateway Racetrack in Madison. She also discusses her grandfather's grocery store in Madison, Bellcoff and Son, and her and her father's work with funeral homes. |

This is a color advertisment for the Donk Brothers Coal Company. The ad features a woman and child in front of a coal burning display and foldable billboard which reads "Office 522 Olive St. St. Louis" "Our 'Domestic" Cannot be Excelled in Purity Cleanliness and Free Buring Qualities" "Donk's 'Domestic" Bituminous Coal Lump Egg and Stove Sies" "Donk's Antracite Coal Best Grade All Sizes." Next to the stove is a bin full of coal labeled as "Anthracite" Coal from Donk. Antracite is a particularly desirable type of coal because it is particularly hard and clean burning. |

Chinatown Lake Now Known as Maryville Fishing Club Lake |
This is a color photograph of a that runs alongside Parkview Street in Maryville, Illinois. The pond is now known as the "Maryville Fishing Club Lake" inside Drost Park. It originally ran alongside the St. Louis Troy and Eastern Railroad line and Parkview Street known as Chinatown road at the turn of the century. The Pond is located across the street from Donk Company housing known as "Chinatown" which consisted of 41 housing lots. |
