1969-1975 Italian Lira These are Italian Liras ranging in date of mint from 1969 and 1975. They were owned by the Great-great-grandfather of Kira Reed of Edwardsville, Illinois, he was born and raised in Bari, Italy until he married and moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1870. There in Oregon, Reed's Great-great-grandfather had three sons and two daughters. When all five of their children grew to adulthood, they moved to Seattle, Washington. Three years after their children had moved out Kira Reed's great-great-grandparents moved back to Bari, Italy. While living in Seattle Kira's great-grandpa had three sons, Scott, Steven and Logan. Kira's great-great-grandfather passed away, he sent my great-grandpa these Italian dollar bills as a keepsake. The money was then passed onto Kira's Great-grandmother and subsequently her son, Steven, who passed it onto his daughter Joleene. Joleene then passed the money onto her daughter Kirra Reed.

1957 United States Dollar Bill This dollar bill from the year 1957 was saved by Ratcliff Scott's grandmother, who was born the same year. Scott's grandmother passed the dollar bill down to Ratcliff Scott who owned the bill as of Feburary 2020.

2019 Navy and Marine Corps Commandment Medal to Nicholas Pavlinek This is a medal was awarded to Senior Chief Fire Controlman (Surface Warfare) Nicholas Pavlinek of the United States Navy for meritorious service while serving as Combat Systems Department Leading Chief Petty Officer, USS Sioux City Blue Crew, from August 2016, to May of 2019. Senior Chief Nicholas Pavlinek led nineteen sailors, including mine warfare DET 23, through crew move-abroad, commissioning, and initial A/T certification. Pavlinek Filled a critical role as the only enlisted tactical action officer during combat systems shipboard qualification trials, qualifying four department heads as Tactical Action Officer (TAO), resulting in eight live-fire events totallling 324 57mm and 24 CHAFF expended rounds.

Grove's Tasteless Chill Tonic, 1878-1910 This clear glass bottle was used at the turn of the century to hold medicine for the treatment of chills caused by a fever. The bottle is inscribed as originating in Paris, France by Edwin Wiley Grove. Near the turn of the 20th century, this company moved to St. Louis.

19th Century, Granite City Miller Pharmacy's Mortar and Pestle This mortar and pestle was used in the middle of the 20th century by the Miller Pharmacy, located in Granite City. Both the mortar and its pestle are made of brass. The mortar and pestle is signed on the bottom "B. Miller," designating ownership to Bernard Miller, who owned and managed Miller Pharmacy. Bernard Miller used the mortar and pestle to crush medical ingredients as a pharmacist.

1940s Chinese Luck Decoration This is a Chinese Luck Decoration from the Republic of China in the 1940s a time of economic downturn following the Great Depression, which impacted economies across the globe, including China where the artifact is from. Because of the downturned economy, decorations like this were limited. The purple beads are representative of grapes signifying wealth, while the red and gold thread is symbolic for good luck. The beads on the decoration are round and hard, while the string is soft and course at the same time.

1921 "Morgan Dollar" Coins These are silver dollar coins, called the "Morgan Dollar" after the United States Mint Engraver George T. Morgan. The "Morgan" entered circulation after its mint in 1878 and continued to be minted until 1904. In 1921, the "Morgan" was again entered into circulation to fill the void of previous Morgan Coins which had been meted down and shipped to Britain to aid their economy during World War I.

1995 Edwardsville Intelligencer Article: "Ground Broken for Locker Room Facility" This 1995 article from the Edwardsville Intelligencer is about breaking grounds for opening a locker room facility for the Edwardsville Sports Complex, entitled "Ground Broken for Locker Room Facility."

1940s Apple Cranberry Salad This is a recipe that has been in Emma Hosto's family for approximately 8 decades and is made for special occasions and holidays by the family. The recipe states to make the base add 1 bag of romaine lettuce, 1 cup of shredded swiss cheese, 1 medium apple, 1/4cup dried cranberries, and 1/2 cup chopped cashews. The dressing calls for 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup red wine vinegar, 2T lemon juice, 1T diced onions, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Mix all the dressing ingredients together, lastly add 2/3 cup veg. oil and pour over the base.

2019 Brand Mikro This is an example of the Mikro clothing brand which was created in March of 2019 by several students at Liberty Middle School. The students developed the idea of generating a brand after discussing it at a sleepover.
