	Piece of the Berlin Wall Belonging to Bethalto Resident Shelly Niemeier	This small fragment of the Berlin Wall was obtained by Bethalto resident Shelly Niemeier around when the wall was destroyed in November and December 1989. The wall famously divided Berlin during the Cold War, and its collapse symbolized the end of the Cold War. This piece of the Berlin Wall was photographed as part of a Madison Historical class visit to Civic Memorial High School in spring 2018.
