Early Recipients of Heart Transplants at Barnes Hospital in the 1980s This photograph shows some of the first recipients of a heart transplant at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, today Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Barnes started performing heart transplants in 1985.

1986-87 Venice High School State Boy's Basketball Champions This is a photograph of the 1986-87 Venice High School Boy's Basketball team, which won the Illinois State Championship in Class A. The team narrowly defeated Okawville High School 56-54 in the state championship game held March 14, 1987 in Champaign, Illinois.

The members of the team were Daryl Buie, Jesse Hall, Vincent Harris, Daryl Jackson, Hosea King, Orlando Love, John Marchbanks, Dale Turner, Wilfred Wigfall, and Lionel Wiley. The team was coached by Clinton Harris.

1988 Anita Baker-'Giving You the Best That I Got' Cassette Tape This is a cassette tape with the album "Giving You the Best That I Got" by Anita Baker. The front cover shows Anita Baker looking off into the distance while she is leaned against what appears to be a stone basin. The cassette case holds the cassette tape inside, as well as the cover paper. The cover paper shows the lyrics of all of the songs and the people who plays the instruments in each song.

Piece of the Berlin Wall Belonging to Bethalto Resident Shelly Niemeier This small fragment of the Berlin Wall was obtained by Bethalto resident Shelly Niemeier around when the wall was destroyed in November and December 1989. The wall famously divided Berlin during the Cold War, and its collapse symbolized the end of the Cold War.
