	Business Card for the Village Motel in Highland, Illinois	This business card for the Village Motel emphasizes the motel's air conditioning and TV service. The motel was located just off US Highway 40 slightly northeast of Highland, Illinois. At the time the motel was owned and operated by Wally and Ruth Nagel, who purchased the motel in 1958 before the construction of I-70 through Highland. 	Burnett Company Glass Medicine Bottle	This glass bottle was made by the Joseph Burnett Company, a flavor extract company based in Boston. Listed on the bottle is "cocoaine," which was likely the company's "Cocoaine for the Hair" product. 	Bethel Meeting House Memorial Stone	Erected near this site in 1805 by the frontier citizens of the Goshen Settlement was the first Methodist Church in Illinois. These grounds surrounding it were the scene of many early camp meetings and frontier revivals. In later years the church burned and was not rebuilt but at cedar grove, Ebenezer, Salem at Wanda and St. John’s at Edwardsville, to which the Bethel congregation moved after the fire. This stone is a memorial to those pioneers through whose vision and sacrifice the Methodist Church was founded in Illinois.	Unknown	December 8, 2016

	Bethalto, Illinois Telephone Directory, 1951	This directory was printed in 1951 for the Madison Telephone Company subscribers on the Bethalto telephone exchange. It lists the address and phone number for individuals and businesses in Bethalto, along with local advertisements. The first page of the book lists the policies and procedures regarding the use of the telephone system. The directory is printed on heavier paper with a card stock cover.
